Is it better to store the less frequent used VMs on the external drive and then move them to the internal drive, when I need to use it? Still got the same error when attempting to start the VM... I realize "acceptable" is hard to measure and depends on us, but one of the VMs would be a file server. As a best practice, we recommend storing all files associated with a specific virtual machine in one folder.
