If the drive is still not detected, please connect it another computer if possible. iOmega's software can see the drive too but doesn't recognize a drive letter just folders (I believe they are movable partitions rather than actual folders) so I'm thinking MBR is corrupted. Disk 0 is usually the boot drive. I guess that the problem is anywhere in the registry. Double-click on the Seagate external drive. Windows doesnt recognize hard drive, motherboard does? You can click on Open Folder to View Files to open the drive letter, or on the drive letter in (My) Computer or Windows/File Explorer. Also under Linux it is shown correctly. I am not sure how to answer your question about drive storage. Power down the computer and then power it up again (ie, reboot the computer).
Within the Device Manager, find the drive. Finished Install, Win 7 doesn't see 2nd HDD Can't find your answer ? When plugging it into my blu-ray it is bring up the setup option only and not allowing me to select movies, music or photo files. Please help and thanks in advance !

It does appear in the BIOS and Device Manager sees the drive, but it does not appear at all in Disk Management. No drives are shown. I recommend calling the office to speak with a technician to evaluate the situation. Once your in Disk Management and you can see your 2nd hard drive, you'll need to assign a letter to it.
