Just as OP stated, when I go to my sound settings in control panel, my headphones are not recognized. I have tried switching out the headphones i was using, but they all behave in the same way. Its not the one that every one is talking about to reduce one of the L and R sound to 0.... the type of driver I use is Conexant HD on a Toshiba Laptop running Windows 10 and yes I am aware of the sound problems people have had when upgrading though
