the witcher2 was a very cpu dependent, that's an old k10 based cpu, it's possible it's nearing the end of its lifespan and as a result is unstable at stock voltage. Now ensure that your memory timings/clock speeds are correct. I would get BSOD's from the time I built this computer. I have run all the hard disk checks recommended by your link.

Also something else that will help us hugely is getting a picture of the actual BSOD error message, 0x124 can mean anything.
