I don't understand question 1, perhaps you can rephrase it. If I can't exclude the boot drive images to the 2nd drive, then when I image the 2nd drive to the external drive, then that's just more work and space used If go over the original/first image, will it retain the original date & time or update it to show the new image date/time? I get two Kinston USB drive boot options, which one should I use to boot up with? my response

In fact Recuva recovered thousands of files (many useless) with strange names given to them so my dilemma is how much time to spend going through them all ?!? It can be tricky, but not really appropriate for discussion here. Perhaps TestDisk will do a better job of recovering my files than Recuva did (though like you said, I don't have high hopes).

When we started converting field offices from "dumb terminals" to LAN's we initially did server backups nightly with a full backup on Monday evening, incremental backups on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday.
