VERY HELPFUL THANKS SO MUCH November 30, 2016 at 4:49 AM Anonymous said... The system BIOS is fully up-to-date. From our entire IT office, THANK YOU!!We had this issue on a few Latitude E6220's and E6330's. I'm just going to echo everyone's comments...You finally put an end to my multi-week struggle. have a peek here
I was so annoyed for many months and tried hundreds of tutorials to fix it ... Here's what I've tried so far: Thought it was heat - cpu and gpu seemed to be running a bit hot. I have tried working with both drivers and updating the bios but still cannot seem to find the issue. RAID settings You may receive this error if you've been experimenting with the RAID controller settings. anchor
We installed the most recent O2 Micro drivers manually and the problem is gone! This issue is random and not related to O2 drivers, because i have made clean installation with generic SD card driver and it is still freezing randomly, not always.. Brand new Dell e5550 with the same problems as described here. Had this issue with the Latitude E5450 models (freezing/locking up after coming out of sleep mode) and updating to the latest system BIOS from Dell appears to have fixed it.
Man you are awesome !!!. Run an online diagnostic Dell has created a set of online diagnostics that can identify problems with your computer hardware or configuration that may be causing the issue. Thank you! Je t'aime.3 months on this issue. It is solved thanks to you.Dom (French IT) October 7, 2014 at 5:53 AM Anonymous said...
It is really workderfull. This summer I've reinstalled a Windows 8.1 copy on my Asus T100TA and managed to reinstall all the drivers from the Asus support page. Latitude E6420 and Latitude E6430 with O2Micro integrated MMC/SD Controller with anything higher than driver 126.96.36.19960 seemed to crash laptop after sleep. Every time a program tries to initiate the built in webcam I get a BSOD and a message 'kernel security check failure'.
