Unable To Wake From Sleep State With Remote Desktop

After installing Windows 8 Pro on same hardware, Remote Desktop works fine when the computer is awake but is unable to wake the computer from a sleep state. Port 9 is sometimes used. I had done similar to you have in your original post but could only get the PC to wake from a full shutdown (even though MS say this shouldn't work). I would be perhaps careful about the firewall part, since firewalls are getting more sophisticated all the time. –harrymc Jan 18 '14 at 15:19 2 I'm not sure how software check over here
